Lauren and Bryan were married in Asheville, NC at the Cliffs at Walnut Cove! They actually had their wedding the same day as the Royal Wedding but they definitely picked their day first ;). Needless to say, it must have been a GREAT day to get married and it was!! The forecast didn’t look promising the week leading up to their wedding but we were blessed with A LOT of sunshine!! All Lauren wanted for her wedding day portraits was all of the green backgrounds and mountain views! I’m so glad we were able to give her just that! The rain may have sprinkled just before their ceremony but that didn’t stop the day from going. Everyone worked hard to move the ceremony under a tent and get Lauren and Bryan MARRIED! One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was hearing gunshots go off in the distance. After several reoccurrences, their pastor said, “this must be a shotgun wedding” — if you know me, I love a good joke! Everyone was laughing! It just showed how relaxed Lauren and Bryan were throughout the entire day. From seven years of experience, I can tell you that nothing goes exactly as planned but the most important thing is that you are marrying your best friend. Lauren and Bryan definitely agreed and nothing stood in the way of their excitement for being married!

The day followed with beautiful portraits in the mountains and a huge party to celebrate. I loved how the reception space had dinner set up inside but kept everyone outside for the dancing. It was such a nice evening and everyone danced their hearts out. Toasts were given by Bryan’s best friend (BM) and Lauren’s Dad and sister (MOH). Toasts are one of my favorite parts of the reception. I adore hearing what loved ones close to the couple have to share and what they wish for them! I feel like we get to know the couples even better after hearing some of their embarrassing moments ;)… and nothing melts my heart more than a Dad who adores his daughter and gives a heartfelt toast! Another favorite from their day was watching the painter paint their first dance. It amazes me how talented these artists are and every hour I would peek to see the painting come more and more to life! Such a fun touch to a reception!

We kicked off our busiest season yet with these two and they set the bar high! Lauren and Bryan are easy going, genuine, kind and love to have a good time! It was such a joy to capture their special day and I’m so excited to share these images with you!
