Samantha and Billy were a dream to work with and get to know throughout their engagement and wedding day! One of the kindest couples we’ve worked with — and on their wedding day it was clear we weren’t the only ones to feel that way. They were surrounded by SO much love and support.
When I met Samantha, we chatted over coffee at the local Caribou for at least an hour. I knew right then she would be an #ahatleybride ;)! We chatted about all things wedding and just life in general. She shared their vision for their big day – she wanted a lot of white and neutral colors (hello, gorgeous!) and most of all she wanted everyone they cared about to celebrate together in one space and have a wonderful time! She was such a sweet girl and I couldn’t wait to spend more time with her and capture this incredible season!
This wedding was truly spectacular. I have so many favorite moments. I fell in love with Samantha and Billy’s grandparents. Both being married for something like 50 + years and still breaking it down on the dance floor. Both Billy and Sam’s parents had also been married for 30+ years (something like that;)) all I know is — I LOVED seeing so many strong, lasting marriages in one room. It was refreshing and hopeful. In a world with so much separation – it’s nice to know strong marriages still exist and I know they’ve all overcome obstacles because no life or marriage is easy.
Samantha and Billy have some incredible friends. Everyone was so helpful throughout their day – not only looking out for them but even their vendors. Such a sweet bridal party!
The first look with Samantha and her Dad was precious. I loved how the bridesmaids all peaked to watch the moment happen.
Billy is one of 3 boys. The mother-son dance had him and his brother in a few tears . (don’t be mad, billy 😉 , I’m sharing because it was so sweet). Had my Mama heart feeling so full. Thinking about my son and our dance one day.
Billy’s grandpa was absolutely adorable – blessing the food and cracking great jokes! After the Anniversary dance the DJ asked him and his wife what their marriage advice would be and they each responded with: “Always be each others best friend” & “Treat your spouse the way you would want to be treated” 🙂 GRACIOUS, you guys. I wanted to bottle them up, stick them in my pocket and take them both home with me!!
The toasts were a perfect mix of humor & authenticity. Billy’s brother had everyone in the room laughing.
Samantha and Billy, you were a joy to work with and it was truly an honor to capture this day for you both! So happy for you!! Love y’all!!
Special thanks to the incredible vendors!!
