Megan contacted me about photographing her wedding just after Haddon was born. I remember setting up the phone call and praying that I wouldn’t be a complete zombie! She was my first phone consultation since he was born and I was definitely running on no sleep! Not to mention, I tried to time it for when he should be sleeping but all I could hear in the background was him crying and Mitchell trying to soothe him. Needless to say, I was so distracted. Thankfully, Megan and Bradley showed me grace and, to my surprise, booked the walking zombie for their wedding photographer ;)! Fast forward to almost a YEAR later and Mama is rested (well, more rested) and sharing their beautiful engagement portraits taken in Chapel Hill, NC. Megan and Bradley met while in school at UNC and now they are both living and working in Maryland! Mitchell and I met in college and also lived in Maryland for a while – kinda neat!
For their engagement session, we met at the Old Well and walked all around the campus, coker arboretum and even made a stop at the place they met which is now called Tru Wine Bar. We were on the fence about cancelling their first engagement session due to the rain — you just never know what the weather will do!! BUT I am so glad we rescheduled because we were blessed with a GORGEOUS sunny day!! I adored Megan’s white dress with her nude heels and her blue off the shoulder top was PERFECT for a more casual look. The girl has good taste!! Megan and Bradley are a naturally beautiful couple so it really made things easy! It was so easy to get them to interact with one another and create genuine smiles and laughter. Megan would get so tickled at Bradley when I asked him to “nuzzle” her – making it one of my favorite poses for them – not for the nuzzle per say – but for the sweet smiles Megan had during those shots! Megan and Bradley’s love for one another is so evident and they are sweet as pie, seriously!! I am SO EXCITED for their November wedding at the Highgrove Estate! It can’t get here fast enough… well, actually it can… because that means little man is officially a ONE YEAR OLD and I’m not sure I’m ready for that!!
Enjoy these gorgeous photos and Happy Friday Eve, friends!
