We’re Amber and Mitchell, a husband and wife photography team based in Asheville, NC. We’re passionate about loving God, loving people, making time to slow down and enjoy our two babies, and eating as much Mexican food as we can (queso for him, guacamole for her). It’s our purest belief that weddings are a celebration of sacred commitment and that strong marriages are foundational in creating time-honored legacies of love. We’ve served over a hundred brides & grooms and never tire of the thrill of it - big bouquets, inherited heirlooms, classically-styled couples, and effortless romance.
I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Amber, the lead photographer behind all the lovely weddings you see here, resident chocolate addict (the darker, the better), and home design junkie. I met my husband, Mitchell, in the halls of Western Carolina University where our only conversation was a passing, “Hey girl!” until he gathered the gumption to ask me for a real date. Six years and two babies later, he still walks through the door with the same two words.
When I’m not photographing extraordinary couples, you can find me snuggled up to HGTV in a cozy blanket (yoga pants not optional), organizing our home, or sipping a smoothie at our favorite juice bar (clean juice forever). We live just outside of Asheville, NC with our two fun-loving kiddos, Haddon and Scotlyn.
MY FAVORITE THINGS
I’m Mitchell, designated assistant photographer and committed veil-fluffer alongside my wife, Amber. I’m a project manager Monday - Friday and a (wedding) weekend warrior which might make you wonder, how does he do it? The answer is coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
My role on the wedding day varies but in the past I’ve: fluffed veils, pinned boutonnieres, organized family portraits, prepped flashes and staged First Looks. Most importantly, I support Amber with a camera in hand to ensure each wedding day runs smoothly and our couples enjoy the celebration.
Family is everything - we’re beyond blessed to have each other. We have two beautiful children, Haddon and Scotlyn.
NEAREST & DEAREST
Mary Poppins said it best - “For every job that must be done, there’s an element of fun.” I love organization from top to bottom - in our business and home.
…sort of. You won’t find me in the ocean (hello, sharks), but with an umbrella in my drink and a good book in my lap, it’s paradise.
Because who doesn’t love a sweet-scented, perfectly-appointed store? Browsing through displays feels like a day at the spa.
Did you catch that part about the guacamole? We don’t care if it’s extra, put it on everything.
Prompt Communication: Have a quick question? Unsure about the timeline? I’m listening!
Stand-Out Service: Of course I’ll be taking pictures, but I’ll also be fluffing your veil, freshening your makeup, encouraging you with gentle kindness, and making sure you’re drinking plenty of water.
Timeless Imagery: Trends come and go, but the ability to look back on your wedding images in the days to come is a timeless treasure. My images are bright, crisp, and true.
We arrive to your wedding day not as another vendor on the list, but as friends excited to be a part of such an important day! We can’t wait to serve you, celebrate with you, and maybe gush a little over how incredible you both look. If this sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you!
You’re newly engaged and it’s finally sinking in that this wedding won’t plan itself, right? It feels overwhelming and there’s so many options, so many decisions, and so little time. A photographer who will give you authentic, effortless images is at the top of your list and, dear friend, you are in the right place. In the last seven years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that a strong connection between you and your photographer is crucial to a joyful and stress-free wedding experience. You’ll spend more time with your photographer than anyone else - even each other! - on your wedding day, and it’s always my hope to graciously serve each and every one of my couples. Telling your story with authenticity and ensuring it stands the test of time is an honor we don’t take lightly, so here’s what you can expect:
