I’m SO EXCITED to finally share this gorgeous engagement session at the Biltmore Estate with you! Laura and Rich drove up from Virginia where they are currently living as Rich is in the Navy! We did their engagement session the night before their wedding since there wasn’t really another time for them to make the trip. I actually loved doing it this way because I was able to spend so much time with them the weekend of their wedding and really get to know them!
We met at the main office so they could purchase their tickets and headed straight to the house! There are endless possibilities at the Biltmore but I’ll never tire of the areas surrounding the main house. I especially love the gardens and the overlook so we spent most of our time there! It was pretty chilly but we had a beautiful sunset that gave us that dreamy light. Laura and Rich are especially kind and considerate. I love how protecting Rich is and I even remember at one point we were walking in the road, chatting away, and we didn’t notice the huge bus coming our way. He promptly ushered us to the sidewalk. It made me think about how he protects our Country every day by his service and how grateful I am to that. Not only him but Laura too. She plays a very mighty role being a military wife. I can’t begin to imagine how challenging it is to tell your spouse goodbye as they are deployed and wait 6 months, 12 months or even longer to be reunited. I literally teared up talking to them by the end of the night — I’m just a sapp!! I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to capture Laura and Rich’s engagement and wedding. I’m truly honored they trusted me with the special weekend and I can’t wait to share their wedding day soon!
