Carroll Joyner Engagement Session

I’m SO glad Spring is here! Not only for the warmer weather but especially because that means everyone comes out from hibernating and want to schedule their engagement, anniversary and just because portraits!! Whooo! Photographer’s happy place! The winter is full of catching up on boring behind the scenes tasks such as taxes, website updates, bookkeeping, etc. whomp whomp…!! But the Spring… busting out beautiful images left and right, baby! 🙂 I absolutely LOVE photographing couples during their engagement or anniversary session. It’s a great time to get to know them better as a couple and prep them for the wedding day OR catch up on how life has been since marriage!

Now… Kelsey and Josh. Yes, they’re beautiful! (insert heart eyed emoji). They’ve been through engagement sessions and are now married for just over two years! But it was time to celebrate those 2 years of marriage and get some updated portraits of them. Which was clearly easy to do – just look at these two!! Kelsey and Josh met while Josh was at NC State in Raleigh and Kelsey was here studying cosmetology. Serious moment – Kelsey is your girl for that new hair you wanna try!! Lucky you, she is local to Raleigh at Samuel Cole Salon. If you need a beautiful fresh color or cut – get on her books! 🙂 Kelsey and Josh are probably the most adorable couple I’ve ever met. I remember when I first met them at our small group – I thought they were a beautiful couple and so kind!! It wasn’t until our group began to grow and develop deeper relationships that I heard more about their love for one another. Hearing them share their story and the way Josh looks at his girl when telling it – every girl in the room was crying!! It’s clear that they have something special and understand the foundation for a strong marriage is a lot of grace, love and forgiveness. These two, they melt my heart and I was so honored when they asked me to capture some portraits for them!

Kelsey and Josh were a breeze to photograph, they were so fun, easy going and full of joy! Kelsey is always rocking the cutest clothes and I got to see sweet little Dixie again. The most adorable little pup ever! She is so smart, too. Josh has this trick where he gets her to roll over… again, and again, and again. It’s PRECIOUS and hilarious!! I may or may not have started asking Mitchell for a dog on the way home!! HA!  We love the Easley’s and are so excited to share these portraits with you today! Happy Monday, friends!!

xoxo
