Julie and Leury were incredibly kind from the moment they contacted me! I remember Julie explaining, in her initial emails, that wedding planning just wasn’t her thing but she had a lot of help from her Mom and bridesmaids! Whenever a Bride is open to suggestions and trusts her vendors, great things happen! Julie was SO SWEET and so laid back. She trusted us with everything from her engagement session to her wedding day and I LOVE all that we were able to create together! If you read my blog often you know that I always rave about my sweet and kind brides! BUT, Y’ALL! It’s SO TRUE!! Every year I pray about the couples I will work with and ask God to bring me exactly who we should meet and spend time with that year. Each and every couple is an answer to prayer and I’m so blessed to say they are all truly wonderful! Julie and Leury are nothing other than just this. After I met them at their engagement session I was even more excited for their wedding day. They are the kind of people that TRULY care about everyone in their life. It’s clear their needs come second to those around them and the love they share for one another radiates the entire room. I don’t think Leury stops smiling, especially when he is with Julie! I left their wedding telling Mitchell how happy it makes me just knowing two people that truly love eachother are married. Anyone at the Laureano wedding knows this is true! From the ceremony to the first dance, no one stopped smiling!
Julie and Leury were married at the Cotton Room in Durham, NC and this venue is SO UNIQUE! I loved the architecture and the beautiful details in each room. The room was surrounded by windows allowing for the best light. This was our first morning ceremony time and we loved it! I think we also loved being finished at 4pm rather than 10pm – you know, because we’re exhausted parents to a 1 year old – our bedtime comes at 8pm these days :)! Some of my favorite moments from the day included:
Julie and Leury’s First Look and the way Leury’s eyes lit up when he saw Julie.
Their first dance as husband and wife and how the girls joined them at the end, incredibly sweet!!
Julies grandmother, she was such a doll and breaking it down on the dance floor.
The getaway car was so stuffed with balloons they couldn’t get in the car without them falling out everywhere!
Julie and Leury, it was such a joy to be apart of your wedding day and capture all the love between you and your families! We wish you all the best on this new journey as husband and wife!
