I am SO excited to share this romantic engagement shoot at the Biltmore Estate with you today! I’m also just sitting here 39 weeks pregnant waiting on our baby girl to arrive – which allows for me to catch up on blogging gorgeous sessions like this one! Candace contacted me just a couple of months ago about photographing her wedding this October! I originally had the month of October off for maternity leave but after hearing more about their intimate wedding and love story I knew I had to capture it! I also knew this would help me ease back into work :).

We planned their engagement session for my last weekend of work – just in case baby girl arrived early… which clearly she didn’t!! Of course, the weather was calling for rain, rain, and more rain all weekend. Candace and Peyton had already purchased tickets to the Biltmore Estate and were making the trip from Charlotte. I always want the absolute BEST for my couples when it comes to their portraits. So naturally, I was freaking out a little bit and watching the forecast/radar every 10 minutes. However, Candace was extremely calm throughout the entire process. She said “let’s just go for it” – and I’m SO glad we did!! We were blessed with a BEAUTIFUL couple of hours and literally just missed the storms. We even meet a little earlier than I normally prefer for sunset portraits. It truly all turned out PERFECT. I LOVED Candace’s dress and how well the blues photographed and it blew so effortlessly in the wind. Candace and Peyton are clearly smitten with each other and made my job so easy. They were naturals in front of the camera and made every pose look so cozy and sweet – just the way I like it!

I’m all the more excited for their wedding this October (& for FALL, yay!!)! I can’t wait to see what she creates through her simple and romantic style at their venue, Longleaf Vineyard

Candace and Peyton, thank you for trusting me with such a sweet season!! XOXO
