This time of year is typically a slow season for me and most wedding photographers but for some reason I’m still going full speed ahead! We had quite the weddings in the month of November and still a couple in December! I guess Brides are by passing the thick of the summer to avoid being so hot and sticky – and hey, I don’t blame them! This wedding took place in November and I’m so glad to finally be blogging it in all it’s beauty!
Megan and Bradley are two of the sweetest, loving and genuine people you’ll ever meet. From the moment I met them at their engagement session this summer I couldn’t wait for their wedding! They care deeply for others and it was made clear by so many moments throughout their wedding day. From their large bridal party to the getting ready moments to the toasts. I’ve never witnessed a family that is as deeply rooted in family and love as they are! I loved watching Megan’s Dad as he saw her for the first time in her wedding dress. I loved that her mom and sister witnessed the moment in the background — and her little brother too! Bradley’s brothers toast to him – it was humorous but also heartfelt. Of course the mother-son dance had me hiding the tears behind my camera. All I can picture is my little Haddon getting married one day and what that will be like. There is just something indescribable about a mother and son bond! Moments like this are why I want a big family – a house full of babies! People think I’m crazy and I know parenting is tough but it IS wonderful. Seeing Megan and Bradley’s siblings right by their side on their wedding day and celebrating them both with genuine happiness was very touching.
Megan and Bradley had their ceremony and reception at the Highgrove Estate and celebrated with so many friends and family – it was a glorious day and such a joy to photograph!
Congrats, newlyweds! Love you both!
